Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Gosling mobile application operated by Alexandros Filippidis ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using Gosling, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use Gosling. By using the app, you represent that you are a parent or legal guardian of any children whose information you enter, or that you have explicit authorization from a parent or legal guardian to enter that information.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@gosling.app.

You may delete your account at any time through the app. Upon deletion, all your data — including child profiles, medical information, routines, and share links — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

3. Your content

You own all information you enter into Gosling, including child profiles, medical details, routines, photos, and emergency contacts. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display this information solely as needed to provide and improve the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Accuracy. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. This includes ensuring that medical information, allergy details, and emergency contacts are current and correct.

4. Sharing with caregivers

When you create a share link, anyone with that link can view the shared child profile information. You are responsible for who you share links with and for ensuring that shared information is appropriate for the recipient.

You can revoke any share link at any time through the app, which immediately prevents further access. Share links on the free plan expire automatically after 24 hours.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Gosling offers a free tier and a paid subscription (Gosling Pro) with additional features.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.

You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store terms. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we do, we will notify you in advance, and the new price will apply at your next renewal. You may cancel before the change takes effect.

Not a substitute for direct communication. Gosling is an organizational tool to help you prepare information for caregivers. It is not a substitute for direct, verbal communication with babysitters and caregivers about your child's safety, health, and well-being. Always communicate critical safety information — especially regarding allergies, medical conditions, and emergency procedures — directly to caregivers in addition to sharing it through the app.

Not medical advice. Gosling does not provide medical, health, or emergency advice. The medical information features are for organizational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

Service availability. Gosling is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We recommend keeping important information (especially medical and emergency contact details) in more than one place.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alexandros Filippidis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Gosling. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from:

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to Gosling shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in subscription fees during the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alexandros Filippidis from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use Gosling ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

You may stop using Gosling and delete your account at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Gosling after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Gosling shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which Alexandros Filippidis resides.
